Akimakinâ and Avikari

Akimakina Avikari

A stylized drawing of fellow student Akimakinâ occupies the top left corner of the page. S. Chiara Professor Paolo Barruchiere sketched his own rendition of Akimakinâ below her, in the style of Picasso. Later that afternoon I sketch IIT classmate Avikari working at her drafting table under models in the studio. This page travelled to Venice; the Torre dell’Orologio (clock tower) at the northeast part of Piazza S. Marco is partially constructed at middle right. An equestrian statue is also partially studied. Venice is a distracting place to sketch. This said, I managed to make some money selling a couple sketches in Venice. The “Caryma” logo appears with wings and a sword, a personal “battle emblem”. (The Caryma has evolved into the corporate logo of Vinci LLC, visible at the top left side of this web page, having served as a personal logo since age 15.) Drawn 18 February 1992 = Tayya 46a6, 20 February = 46a8, four dozen sixth life-phase (Safyr-Apacinal Xrga).
