Missouri Botanical Garden Climatron

Missouri Botanical Garden Climatron

Since the mid 90s, I’d frequented the Missouri Botanical Garden for free evening concerts. A common sight was the Climatron, a geodesic dome housing tropical plants, with the sun shining through the translucent glass, silhouetting the palms inside. This awesome effect begged to be captured. This view was partially constructed on site during the summer of 2002, but composed during lunch hour and in the evening. The Climatron’s space frame required a meticulous layout, and the item was colored per photographic record of the scene intermittently over a number of days. My impression of the work, having conquered a tough problem, was that it was too chipper, though now I find the composition pleasant and it is a personal favorite. The original remains in possession, but is currently misplaced. Produced 8 March 2003 = Tayya 6aaa, six dozen tenth phase (Añikç-Axalairal Xrga, “life-phase of daughter Claire”).
