Asmarâ

This is a study of the aðitriçâ marker-drawing style, a loose and rapid sketch using a limited palette, laid out with a fine ballpoint pen, using a pointed Sharpie marker for deep masses of black. A friend (Asmarâ) was to pose for a picture and shied out of it. This is a rather poor rendition of her. I played with the relationship of the figure to the highly graphic background, the simulated typography, and moved on. Drawn 20 August 1997, Tayya 58a0, five dozen eighth phase (Ñixaþa-Alindðal Xrga), on Euclid Avenue.
