Icarus at the Park and Il Capo

This page is home to studies from several different sessions. The colored pencil image of Icarus (noted as Reney) was drawn 4 September 1996 (Tayya 564a) in Forest Park, St. Louis. He appears with his trademark backward Chicago Bulls ballcap. The drawing includes the context; the portrait was drawn looking in a mirror, so his hand is visible holding the mirror. At an all-office staff meeting 18 September 1996 (Tayya 5660). I sketched my boss in his signature seated pose, and mused whether I’d sit like him if I were successful. A study of a pavilion in Clayton that sat abandoned outside the Stacks Cafe window lies under Icarus. (The pavilion was severely remodeled a couple years later). This study was sketched 10 October 1996 (Tayya 567a). That day I sketched a girl that signed the page, noting the fact at right. Developed during the five dozen sixth phase (Ñixaþa-Xiübanal Xrga).
