New Car or Greece?

 

Musing on whether to travel to Greece or buy a new car. Some studies for drawings appear at right, followed by a mock logo for the Greece trip. A hand-sketched map of Greece was produced from memory, with an abandoned head study in ballpoint ink next to it. The duodecimal argam numerals appear at left. Drawn 20 January 1997, Tayya 5744, five dozen seventh phase (Ñixaþ-Asmaral Xrga), at Steinberg Hall at Washington University in St. Louis. Later the green ballpoint date “5899” = 17 August 1997 was added, inexplicably.
