Daniel Sullivan Lecture Notes

Daniel Sullivan Lecture Notes

Daniel Sullivan gave a leccture at Washington University’s school of architecture on his book Livable Cities, focusing on transit oriented developments in California. I read his book and thought it was brilliant. Notes appear on the page but eventually I draw a self portrait in stark contrast. The portrait is influenced by reading about Picasso. I found the title of a self-portrait funny: “Yo, Picasso”, as “yo” is slang here for “hey”. Four days later I add a rucisaime pencil sketch of a smokestack above my head. The page is signed by the lecturer and a friend and coworker Marilenâ. Drawn 23 January 1997, Tayya 5747, five dozen seventh phase (Ñixaþ-Asmaral Xrga), at Steinberg Hall at Washington University in St. Louis.
