“View from Big Mike’s Cabin”

View from Big Mike's Cabin

This second veronal jimla (inversed drawing) captures the early morning scene looking south from Big Mike’s cabin on the southeast shore of Sugar Island, Michigan. The drawing started as a loose, light sketch, with the fishing deck and foreground waters fleshed out first. The middle- and background trees came next, followed by the foreground grass and sky. I'd taken a limited palette of colors to facilitate a rapid production process; this drawing was sketched in less than an hour. Produced 4 August 2010 = Tayya 8584, eight dozen fifth phase (Salcyra-Rynhaxharal Xrga, “Life Phase of Sacred Quietude”). Continued gratitude to Mr. Goodheart in sharing his peaceful northern home with us; it was one of the best trips of our lives.
